High-Temperature Expansion of the Free Energy in the Two-Dimensional XY Model
نویسندگان
چکیده
We extend the high-temperature series of the free energy for the XY model in two dimensions to order β from the previous order of β by applying an improved algorithm of the finite lattice method. The long series obtained allows us to conclude that the behavior of the free energy is consistent to high accuracy with what is expected when the phase transition of the model is of the Kosterlitz-Thouless type.

Low-temperature expansion and perturbation theory in 2D models with unbroken symmetry: a new approach
A new method of constructing a weak coupling expansion of two dimensional (2D) models with an unbroken continuous symmetry is developed. The method is based on an analogy with the abelian XY model, respects the Mermin-Wagner (MW) theorem and uses a link representation of the partition and correlation functions. An expansion of the free energy and of the correlation functions at small temperatur...
متن کاملJ un 2 00 3 Low Temperature Results for the Heisenberg XXZ and XY Models
This thesis contains two results for the low temperature behavior of quantum spin systems. First, we present a lower bound for the spin-1 XXZ chain in finite volumes in terms of the gap of the two-site Hamiltonian. The estimate is derived by a method developed by Nachtergaele in [22] called the Martingale Method. Our bound relies on an assumption which we have, as yet, been unable to verify ana...

In this study, the behavior of nanoparticles using a numerical model is discussed. For this study a model for the expansion in free convection heat transfer and mix in a rectangular container with dimensions of 1 × 4 cm using Nano-aerosols in the air is going when copper nanoparticles, use and by changing the temperature difference between hot and cold wall, we will examine its impact on the ra...
متن کاملThe critical equation of state of three-dimensional XY systems
We address the problem of determining the critical equation of state of three-dimensional XY systems. For this purpose we first consider the smallfield expansion of the effective potential (Helmholtz free energy) in the hightemperature phase. We compute the first few nontrivial zero-momentum npoint renormalized couplings, which parametrize such expansion, by analyzing the high-temperature expan...
متن کاملA Monte Carlo study of the three-dimensional XY universality class: Universal amplitude ratios
We simulate lattice models in the three-dimensional XY universality class in the low and the high temperature phase. This allows us to compute a number of universal amplitude ratios with unprecedented precision: RΥ = 0.411(2), RB = 2.83(1), R + ξ = 0.3562(10) and R − ξ = 0.850(5). These results can be compared with those obtained from other theoretical methods, such as field theoretic methods o...
